Hey guys, I’m wondering what your thoughts are on new coins to invest in for the the new year. Personally I have a stake in Raiblocks but the market cap there is growing a lot so I’m looking for some other coins to get into.
One coin I have been liking that is very new to the exchanges is DeepBrain Chain. This coin will decentralize difficult computations for AI and allow for computers around the world to process / contribute to the computing power necessary for AI to perform tasks.
Anyways tell me about your picks and why we should research more about it. Thanks
On December 30th, 2016 the price of bitcoin (BTC) was $960 USD, and since then the price had risen 1,941 percent 350 days later to an all-time high of $19,600 across global exchanges. Now the price rests at roughly $13-14K but a lot more has changed this year besides the significant price rises of bitcoin […]

I’ve been following the Bloom ICO for a while and I wanted to get a better sense of what the community is thinking.
So first the good as I see it:
- Equifax hack just happened, so timing for Bloom is good.
- All of the main team members are from Stanford have been in blockchain for years.
- Strong network of advisors, the former Chief Scientist of Experian is working with them, Joey Krug is one of their advisors.
- They’re launching on mainnet tomorrow.
- They have a good number of partners building on the protocol.
- The team built a large identity company that alot of crypto companies use so they have experience in the space.
And the risks:
- Cap is high. They have a $50m hard cap and have about $33m contributed so far.
- They’re focused on alot of different things, it’s a real lot for one team to work on.
- Credit is a tough space to enter, the big 3 bureaus are massive and who knows if anyone will actually take Bloom’s score seriously.
- The published roadmap only has rough estimates of releases by quarter, no specifics.
- There are alot of companies working on lending and identity (Civic, uPort, ETHLend, SALT etc)
What is everyones thoughts?
Cryptocurrency law can be maddeningly vague. From taxation to commodities, the US constitution is characterized by ill-defined and occasionally contradictory statutes regarding digital currencies. Law reform moves at a glacial pace, leaving the status of cryptocurrencies often unlegislated. For cryptocurrency users trying to navigate murky legal waters, this ambiguity can be frustrating. A new website […]

I refrained from buying a video game I’d been thinking about buying and bought 25 VEN instead. That 25 bucks I was going to spend on beer this week? That’s 140 BNTY. My uncle gave me $250 for Christmas. Hello, 20 more XRB. I find myself doing this a LOT, especially lately.

Here is the official post from the CEO released yesterday: https://modum.io/ceo-update-december-2017/
“As an important achievement, we have closed contracts with a $5+ billion revenue logistics provider, formalizing the step-by-step integration of our solution. Currently, we are preparing a joint, official announcement of this partnership and the resulting product; we expect to disclose the name of our partner in Q1. In addition, we also closed the contractual framework for our CTI project and are thrilled by other companies’ interest in the open API.”
Modum is currently valued at 100 mill market cap
This announcement was about 24 hours ago, they haven’t made an official joint press release on the partnership yet so barely anyone knows about it.
MOD may also be in the process of locking down a partnership deal with Novartis if you don’t know what novartis is: https://i.imgur.com/wtyPGEJ.png
Evidence? One of the team members is Pascal Degen – Head of Sterile Packaging, Novartis
Read the team’s response on collaboration with Novartis from the reddit AMA: https://imgur.com/iuFNwTq
Again, 100 mill market cap. The amount of attention this is getting from big players clearly makes it deserving of a top 50 spot, probably much higher.
I don’t want to clutter up this post with links, but I encourage you to research their product (rolling out in Q1 2018), the team, and their professional connections.
Happy new year!

There’s been a lot of recent attention directed at the digital asset Tether (USDT), as the project has received intense scrutiny because there’s been a few hundred million USDT issued over the past few months. Tether’s supply is now over 1 billion USDT in circulation, and while the project’s controversy continues, it is still a […]

Cryptocurrency shouldn’t be about HODL!!!1!, it should be about tech. If people want it to actually take off, you need to spend it to create a stable currency. This shouldn’t be looked at as an investment, it should be looked at as the future that happens to be an investment. Which goes back to not buying more than you can lose.
Something went wrong last night when trying to move some XRB from my BitGrail wallet to my RailWallet, it said the transaction had been completed (was no longer in my BitGrail wallet) but the deposit never showed up in my RailWallet. I was freaking out…

Traditionally, nothing happens in the period between Christmas and New Year. It’s a lull devoid of anything newsworthy whatsoever. Except in the world of bitcoin. Miners never stop mining and exchanges never stop exchanging because bitcoin never sleeps – and it certainly doesn’t call in a week-long vacation just cos it’s the holidays. As a […]
